About Me

Hello! I began my English teaching journey with a BA in Comparative Literature at UCL. Awarded a 1st and a place on UCL Arts & Humanities Dean's List, I began my English PGCE from the Institute of Education where I received my QTS in 2021 (Qualified Teacher Status).
Having taught English Literature and Language for two years, combined with two years of private tutoring experience, I am passionate about supporting students to not only become more confident English learners but to guide them in reaching and surpassing their target grades.
My training and teaching experience has provided me with a strong understanding of the most up-to-date pedagogy, enabling me to create engaging lessons and critical schemes of work that foster sophisticated analytical thinking and writing.

Lastly and most importantly, my teaching is always tailored to the needs of my students. Every learner is different and requires a personalised approach. I am passionate about getting to know the unique needs of my students to ensure I support them in the best way possible.

Tally - Parent of tutee
Eliana is a wonderful tutor. She has excellent teaching techniques and is most attentive to my daughter’s particular needs. She is also a lovely person to welcome to our home during lessons. I would highly recommend!
Amy - English Teacher
I had the privilege of teaching alongside Eliana on numerous occasions in a previous role. She is a wonderful teacher: patient, compassionate and highly intelligent. I learned a lot from watching her teach; her subject knowledge is second to none and she manages to create learning environments which are as reassuring and accessible as they are intellectually stimulating. I cannot recommend her highly enough!
